Farm Simulation/RPG

The basic game premise is to create a farming simulation. The game should be both fun and educational. Featuring cute, cartoon-like characters, the game will draw the players into the gameplay where lessons about sustainable agriculture and economic practices can be embedded. It is possible to for the game to evolve into more complex gameplay, including retail and manufacturing. The different plants and animals could be parameterized for localization, or they could be abstracted for all regions. As players develop their skills at managing a virtual farm, smaller mini-events could be triggered to introduce additional information, as well as make gameplay more exciting.

The overall goals of this project will be:
-FUN! "Sandbox games" such as SimCity, Harvest Moon and Animal Crossing are successful
-Teach sustainable economic practices
-Teach basic problem solving and resource management
-Introduce concepts from the global economy
